General:- Although this is a short walk do not
write it off without trying it. It's an ideal choice for a spare afternoon or
the wintry days when time is short. It's flat, well sheltered and full of little
hamlets and houses where you least expect them. Better still make a day of it,
combine this route with a visit to Corsham Court which is open to visitors in the summer.
If you have a GPS and want to get some practice with it this
is a good place to start, short distances between waypoints, easy to see where
you should be going to give a reference to check your GPS work is correct. (GPS
length 3.42 miles).
How to get there: Take the A4 Chippenham to Bath Rd.
Turn off at traffic lights signposted to Corsham @ ST8715 7129. Turn L at next
roundabout ST 8724 7076 following signs to Corsham Court. Take first turning L
by post office @ ST 8728 7058 and park opposite gates of Corsham Court.
